Walnut Cottage is
located between the villages of Burnham Market and
Stanhoe in the small hamlet of Muckleton.
Within easy distance of some
beautiful beaches and bird watching areas, Walnut Cottage is ideally
tucked away on a working arable farm.
The cottage
sleeps 5.
The cottage has
been re-decorated and re-furbished throughout.
Entrance is
through the lobby to a cosy sitting room with
comfortable leather sofas either side of a large beamed
fireplace housing an electric style 'wood burner' for
quick and easy use. This room overlooks the horse
paddocks and has TV/Video/DVD/HiFi.
There is an oak
style fitted kitchen with all mod cons.
Washing machine, tumble drier, fridge/freezer and
ceramic electric cooker/oven, dishwasher and microwave.
There is a
downstairs bath and WC.
The main
bedroom has a pine double bed with fitted cupboards
overlooking the pasture and has en-suite shower and
WC.
Bedroom 2
has a pine double bed, dressing table and fitted
cupboard.
Bedroom 3 a single bed with pine drawers and bedside cabinet.
All night
storage heaters are fitted throughout.
There is a
large enclosed garden with off road parking for 2
cars and a boat (approx. one quarter of an acre).
There is a paved patio area, which during the summer
months has an outside table, chairs and BBQ.
All night
storage heating, electricity, gas, linen, house towels are provided
in the price. (We do not provide beach towels).
Farmyard:
The cottage is situated on a working arable farm.
The farmyard itself is strictly a no-go area as are
parts of the land itself at certain times of the year
for obvious safety reasons as there is, obviously, some agricultural
traffic.
If you wish to bring a pet, please
enquire.
We do not allow smoking in the house.

There is
a discount available for “couple only” during low season (please enquire for
special rates – this is based on sharing a double room)
Should you require a
different arrangement from those stated above, provided we are able
to accommodate you, we are prepared to tailor your stay to your
individual requirements.
Special Christmas & New Year Weeks
At this time of year the cottage is tastefully decorated with a small tree,
seasonal arrangement and welcome holly wreath on the front door. In
addition to the normal “Welcome” provision we also provide a locally made
Christmas cake and a good bottle of bubbly!
