    Dull weakness in my heart

    With lots and lots of caffeine

    At my willfulness you glower
    Desperation rules no more
    'Cos without you - death's in store.

    So tell me now your need
    Let me follow - you can lead
    What can I do to help?
    To heal my heartfelt self?

    The Heart replies...

    Well, first, just be aware
    Find time to stop and stare
    Let go your driven agenda
    Instead be warm and tender
    Avoid those hostile folk
    Find time to laugh and joke
    Eat some healthy food
    Stop speaking coarse and rude
    Cultivate appreciation
    Adopt a more humble station
    Thus, casting pride aside...
    Enjoy an easier ride

    Give a pleasant word
    Be seen more and less heard
    Do acts of loving kindness
    When guilty, find some redress
    Stroke a furry critter
    Learn to be a quitter...
    To let go and release
    Make time for rest and peace
    Learn to simply relax
    Do you really need those facts?
    Live life in ease and flow
    Find ways to mature, grow
    Walk and work more slow
    Let your feelings show!
    Delegate and empower
    Never, ever, cower
    Stand straight and tall and true
    With honesty as your cue...

    Then this simple honest heart
    Will lovingly play its part

When your heart is under strain it is advisable to have a medical check-up, and ask about the advisability of taking a mild anti-thrombosis drug such as aspirin, as a precautionary measure against coronary thrombosis if you are in an at-risk category.
